We have 7 cats and put out 4 water bowls that we clean and refill every day. Often the cats touch the water with their paw to create ripples before drinking. One of our cats loves to drink from the faucet, so we thought this fountain would be perfect. It is very quiet and all the cats are curious: some drink from the bowl, where the water is always moving, and some drink directly from the spout. It is also very pretty to look at, thanks to the blue light in the little window that shows the water level.

It is quite large and I find the filter tray opening system very convenient-much easier than my old fountain, which was a nightmare to disassemble. I decided to use the spout, because without it the water flow was too fast. So it is perfect. Also, it is really quiet! I am very satisfied with it and my cats love it too!

I love that it is stainless steel and has the little window in the front to check the water level. Now our cats have their own "sink with running water" and I no longer have to turn the fountain on and off all the time. I haven't cleaned it yet, but it looks super easy to take apart, just as easy as it was to assemble.

I don't need anything complicated, I just wanted stainless steel and ease of cleaning. The pump and drinking fountain always stay clean, and I only have to wash it every 1 or 2 weeks. Now I know!I saw an advertisement on facebook explaining how cats who walk around the water bowl or touch it with their paw show signs of stress related to their source of hydration.In the wild, cats' whiskers help them know whether water is safe or contaminated. Crowded areas may contain stagnant water with bacteria, while moving water sources, such as streams, are safer. (This is also why it is recommended not to put the water bowl near the cat's food...)
